Terms of Use

Last updated: 3 October 2026

Who we are

Habitly is a personal habit tracking application created and operated by Matej Kuhelj, an individual developer based in Ljubljana, Slovenia, European Union. It is a personal project, not a registered company product. By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy (api.habitly.eu/privacy).

Who can use Habitly

You must be at least 15 years old to create an account (the age of digital consent in Slovenia under ZVOP-2). You confirm this at signup. If you are younger, please do not create an account.

Your account

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you upload or write in Habitly: photos, highlights, habit names and profile pictures.

So that the app can work, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store your content and to display it inside Habitly to you and, where you have allowed it, to the friends you have accepted. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

You may only upload content that you have the right to use. Do not upload:

We may remove content that breaks these rules and suspend or close accounts that repeatedly do so.

Reporting content

If you see content in Habitly that you believe is illegal, infringes your rights (for example a photo you own posted by someone else) or breaks these terms, open the photo and tap Report photo, or email habitly.eu@gmail.com with:

We review every report, usually within a few days, remove content that breaks the rules or the law, and tell you what we decided. If we remove something you posted, we will tell you why and you can reply to the same address if you think we got it wrong. This is our point of contact for notices under the EU Digital Services Act.

Friends and sharing

Friends you accept can see your display name, profile photo, daily completion percentage, challenge points and the daily photos you chose to share. You can remove a friend at any time, which stops their access in the app. Be kind: pokes and reactions are meant to encourage, not to pressure.

Blocking

You can block any user from their profile or from Settings โ†’ Blocked users. Blocking removes the friendship and hides you from each other across the app, including search, feed, leaderboards and notifications. The blocked user is not notified. You can unblock from Settings at any time; the friendship is not restored automatically. We may also block or restrict accounts ourselves when enforcing these terms.

The service

Habitly is provided free of charge and "as is". We do our best to keep it running and to keep your data safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free, and we may change or discontinue features. Use the export in Settings if you want a copy of your data.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses or for loss of data caused by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under Slovenian or EU law.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Habitly and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after notifying you by email where reasonably possible.

Changes to these terms

If we make significant changes, we will notify users via a banner in the app. Continued use after that is acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Slovenia. Disputes are subject to the courts of Ljubljana, Slovenia, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection you enjoy in your country of residence.
